Edward Ford "Ed" Weber (born July 26, 1931 in Toledo , Ohio ) is a former American politician . Between 1981 and 1983 he represented the state of Ohio in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Ed Weber attended the public schools of his home country and then until 1953 Denison University in Granville . After studying law at Harvard University and being admitted to the bar in 1956, he began to work in this profession in Toledo in 1958. In between he served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958 . From 1966 to 1979 he was an assistant professor in the law school of the University of Toledo . Politically, he joined the Republican Party .

In the 1980 congressional election , Weber was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the ninth constituency of Ohio , where he succeeded Democrat Thomas Ashley on January 3, 1981 . Since he was not confirmed in 1982, he could only complete one term in Congress until January 3, 1983 . After his time in the US House of Representatives, Ed Weber practiced as a lawyer again. Politically, he no longer appeared. He spends his old age in Toledo.
