Walter B. Huber (born June 29, 1903 in Akron , Ohio , †  August 8, 1982 in Lexington Park , Maryland ) was an American politician . Between 1945 and 1951 he represented the state of Ohio in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Nothing is known about Walter Huber's youth and schooling. Between 1936 and 1944 he worked for the Summit County Attorney's Office . Politically, he joined the Democratic Party . In the 1944 congressional election he was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the 14th  constituency of Ohio , where he succeeded Republican Edmund Rowe on January 3, 1945 . After two re-elections, he was able to complete three legislative terms in Congress by January 3, 1951 . During this time, the Second World War ended and the Cold War began . In 1950 he was not re-elected.

In 1952, Huber applied unsuccessfully to return to Congress. Between 1955 and 1958 he was an investigator for the US Senate Subcommittee on Patents and Intellectual Property; from 1958 to 1959 he worked for a subcommittee ( Legislative Oversight ) of the US House of Representatives. He then served as an advisor to the Committee on Un-American Activities between 1959 and 1968 . He then also worked as a consultant for an environmental protection organization. He lived in Nanjemoy (Maryland). He died in Lexington Park on August 8, 1982.
