Isaac Hamilton Taylor (* 18th April 1840 in New Harrisburg , Carroll County , Ohio ; † 18th December 1936 in Hartville , Ohio) was an American politician of the Republican Party . March 4, 1885 to March 3, 1887, he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 18th  congressional district of the state of Ohio.

biography

Taylor was born in New Harrisburg. He attended schools in Carroll County and then studied law . In 1867 he finished his studies and was admitted to the bar. He opened his office in Carrollton . Between 1870 and 1877 he was employed by Carroll County.

Between 1885 and 1887 Taylor was a member of the United States House of Representatives for the 18th District of Ohio. He was no longer nominated for re-election by his party. He then worked again as a lawyer. In 1892 he was a delegate for his party at the Republican National Convention .

Taylor died in Hartville in 1936. He was buried in the West Lawn Cemetery in Canton . From 1860 he was married to Sarah J. Elder. Both had 3 children.
