Daniel Kilgore

Daniel Kilgore (* 1793 in Kings Creek , Hancock County , West Virginia ; † 12. December 1851 in New York City , New York ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party . From 1 December 1834 to 4 July 1838 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 19th  congressional district of the state of Ohio .

biography

Kilgore was born in Kings Creek, West Virginia, USA. There he attended school. He moved to Cadiz . Kilgore was a member of the State Senate from 1828 to 1832 .

Due to the resignation of Humphrey H. Leavitt , Kilgore was elected to the US House of Representatives in a special election in the 19th congressional district of Ohio in 1834. He represented the 19th district there until 1838, when he retired from politics prematurely.

Kilgore died in New York City in 1851.
