Bob Gibbs (* 14. June 1954 in Peru , Indiana ) is an American politician of the Republican Party . Since January 3, 2011, he is a member of the House of Representatives of the United States first, he represented the 18th  congressional district of the state of Ohio , from 3 January 2013 As the 7th district.

biography

Bob Gibbs was born in Peru in the US state of Indiana. In the 1960s, his family moved to Cleveland . There Bob attended Bay Village Senior High School, which he successfully completed. In 1974 he graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the Ohio State University from. He moved to Lakeville and became a co-owner of Hidden Hollow Farms Ltd. In the past, Hidden Hollow Farms supplied pigs ; today, wheat and soybeans are mainly grown and sold. He was also an official with the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. From 2003 to 2009 he sat in the Ohio House of Representatives , from 2009 to 2010 in the State Senate .

In the midterm elections in 2010 he was the seat of Zack Space conquer and represents since the 18th and the 7th District of Ohio in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC He can in all subsequent elections, including the 2016, was re-elected he continues to exercise his mandate today. His latest legislative term runs until January 3, 2019.
