Warren Davidson

Warren Davidson (* 1. March 1970 in Troy , Ohio ) is an American politician of the Republican Party .

Davidson was elected to the United States House of Representatives on June 8, 2016 to succeed John Boehner, who stepped down in 2015 , and was confirmed in this office in November of the same year in the general election. He represents the sixth constituency of the state of Ohio.

Life

Warren Davidson, born and raised in Troy, joined the United States Army after high school . He was used in Germany , among other places , where he was a 19-year-old eyewitness to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 . Because of his skills, he was accepted into the United States Military Academy at West Point ( New York ). As an officer, he served in some of the prestigious units in the US armed forces, including the 101st Airborne Division .

After retiring from the military in 2000, Davidson graduated from the University of Notre Dame , where he received his Master of Business Administration . He joined his father's company, which specialized in the production and sale of tools . Today he is Chairman of the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association .

Davidson has been a supporter and later a member of the Republican Party since the mid-1980s, since he saw Ronald Reagan perform in Sidney, Ohio in 1984 . In June 2016, he ran for the vacant seat in the House of Representatives, in which he was able to relegate his challenger, Democrat Corey Foister, to second place with 76.8 percent of the vote .

Warren Davidson has been married since 1996. He has two children with his wife Lisa.
