Pangil is a Filipino municipality in Laguna Province , Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 24,274 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 8 barangays . It is classified as a fourth income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
Pangil is divided into two parts by the largest inland lake in the Philippines, the Laguna de Bay . Their neighboring communities are Siniloan in the north, Pakil in the south and northwest. The topography of the city is characterized by flat lands near the shore and gently rolling to mountainous landscapes, the foothills of the Sierra Madre , in the east.
