Nagcarlan ( Tagalog : Bayan ng Nagcarlan ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Laguna , in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 63,057 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 52 barangays . It is classified as a second income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
Nagcarlan's neighboring communities are Calauan in the northwest, Victoria in the north, San Pablo City and Rizal in the west, Magdalena in the northeast and Liliw in the east. The topography of the city is characterized by rolling landscapes at the foot of the Banahaw volcano .
