Natural Track Luge World Championship 1994
The ninth FIL - natural track luge World Cup took place from 27 to 30 January 1994 Gsies in South Tyrol ( Italy instead).
Single seater men
For the fourth time in a row, the Austrian Gerhard Pilz became world champion in the men's singles. Behind him are two Italians, Franz Obrist and Erhard Mahlknecht . Obrist had already won the bronze medal at the last World Cup, for Mahlknecht it was the only medal at a World Cup.

The Italian Beatrix Mahlknecht was world champion in the women's singles in front of the reigning European champion Irene Zechner from Austria, who already came into the medal ranks at the last two world championships. Third place went to Italian Doris Haselrieder , who won her only World Cup medal. She was European Champion in 1991. The defending champion Lyubow Panjutina from Russia was eighth.

As in all previous world championships, the world championship title in doubles went to Italy this year. For the second time only Italians were on the podium. The gold medal went to Manfred Gräber and Günther Steinhauser , silver went to Jürgen Pezzi and Christian Hafner and bronze to Roland Niedermair and Hubert Burger . With the exception of Steinhauser, who had already won the bronze medal together with Arnold Lunger in 1986 , it was everyone's first medal at a world championship. All six had already won medals at European championships.
