The Flottbektal nature reserve is located in Jenischpark in the Elbe suburbs in Hamburg-Othmarschen on the Elbe .

The smallest nature reserve in the Hanseatic city with just eight hectares was granted protection status on June 1, 1982. The wet meadows are part of the last floodplain in Hamburg to be influenced by the tide and are home to many animal and plant species that are on the Red List .

It is named after the Flottbek , the river that flows through the area and flows into the Elbe at Teufelsbrück .
