from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Stockumer Bach nature reserve with a size of 9.1  hectares is located south of Arnsberg in the Hochsauerland district . It was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1998 with the Arnsberg landscape plan.

Area description

The NSG is the valley of the Stockumer Bach . The Bachtal is occupied by grassland. The grassland is mostly grazed.

Protection purpose

The NSG should protect the Bachtal with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
