Hülsbergsiepen nature reserve

The nature reserve Hülsbergsiepen with a size of 5.8  hectares is located northeast of Hüsten in the urban area of Arnsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis . It was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1998 with the Arnsberg landscape plan. The NSG consists of two sub-areas, the smaller of which is only 0.8 hectares in size.

Area description

The NSG is the Hülsbergsiepen brook valley .

Protection purpose

The NSG should protect the Bachtal with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
