The nature reserve Moosfelder Ohl with a size of 17.4  ha is located north of Moosfelde in the urban area of Arnsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis . It was expelled for the first time in 1981 by the Arnsberg district government. In 1998 it was again designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in the Arnsberg landscape plan. Two parts of the Enser See nature reserve in the municipality of Ense in the Soest district are directly connected to the north and south-west .

Area description

The NSG is the Möhne floodplain with fallow grassland , trees and bushes.

Protection purpose

The NSG is supposed to protect the Möhn floodplain there with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
