The Röhrtal nature reserve with a size of 15.3 hectares is located north of Müschede in the urban area of Arnsberg in the Hochsauerland district . It was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1998 with the Arnsberg landscape plan. The NSG goes until shortly before the confluence of the Röhr into the Ruhr .
