Röhrtal nature reserve

The Röhrtal nature reserve with a size of 15.3  hectares is located north of Müschede in the urban area of Arnsberg in the Hochsauerland district . It was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1998 with the Arnsberg landscape plan. The NSG goes until shortly before the confluence of the Röhr into the Ruhr .

Area description

In the NSG it concerns the tube and the floodplain in this area.

Protection purpose

The NSG is supposed to protect the brook valley of the Röhr with floodplain with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
