The nature reserve 3 wet forest parcels north of the Spulberg with a size of 3  hectares is located northeast of Holzen in the urban area of Arnsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis . It was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1998 with the Arnsberg landscape plan. The NSG consists of three sub-areas, which are 1.7 ha, 0.8 ha and 0.5 ha in size.

Area description

The NSG consists of three alder forest areas.

Protection purpose

The NSG is intended to protect the forest areas with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
