Niestkowo (German Nesekow ) is a village in the municipality of Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) in the Powiat Słupski of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Niestkowo is located in Western Pomerania , on the right bank of the Stolpe , about ten kilometers northwest of the city of Słupsk ( Stolp ) and eight kilometers southeast of the port city of Ustka (Stolpmünde) on the Baltic Sea .

history

According to the historical form of the village, the village was laid out as a Hagenhufendorf . It is the oldest documented village in the Stolp district . In 1227 it is mentioned under the name Nestic in a document with which Duke Barnim I of West Pomerania donated the village of Nestic in Stolp minore, in parvo Ztolp , to the Belbuck monastery. Later it belonged to the property of the Stanislaus Church in Garde, which Duke Mestwin II of Pomerania confirmed in 1282 the donations of his father, Swantopolk II . In 1499 the Nesekow estate was owned by a member of the Ramel family . Around 1580 it was owned by Damian von Winterfeld , who under Pomeranian Duke Bogislaw XIII. Governor of the Land Schlawe and Stolp had been. In 1622 it was bought by a member of the Winterfeld family on Wintershagen, then the Zitzewitz family . Around 1784 there was a farm in Nesekow, five farmers and a total of eight households. In 1810 Johann Kratz acquired the villages of Nesekow and Wintershagen from Otto Graf von Podewils . In 1811 Kratz sold Nesekow again. The previous tenant bought the farmland and the farms were bought by the tenants who had previously worked them. In 1861 a Mr. Wiese purchased the Nesekow estate for 50,500 thalers . After that it was owned by a Küttner family. In 1928 Otto Küttner was the owner, in 1931 Georg von Wühlisch and in 1938 Heinz Perrin.

In 1925 there were 39 residential buildings in Nesekow. In 1939 there were 213 inhabitants in Nesekow who lived in 51 households. In addition to the estate, which last had an area of ​​166 hectares, there were 24 other farms in Nesekow.

Before the end of World War II, the village belonged to Nesekow county Stolp in Administrative district Köslin of Pomerania . The parish area was 438 hectares. Nesekow was the only place of residence in the Nesekow municipality.

Towards the end of the Second World War , Lindow was occupied by the Soviet Army on March 8, 1945 . In July 1945 Poles came to the village and took over the houses and farms of the German residents. The estate remained occupied by the Soviet troops until the spring of 1946. All the villagers were evicted. Nesekow was renamed Niestkowo .

Later 98 villagers displaced from Nesekow were identified in the Federal Republic of Germany and 95 in the GDR .

In 2007 the village had 164 inhabitants.

The villagers present in Nesekow before 1945 were Protestant . Nesekow was affiliated to the parish Weitenhagen and thus belonged to the parish of Stolp-Stadt.

school

Before 1945 Nesekow had its own elementary school. In 1932 this school was single-stage; At that time, a single teacher was teaching 47 school children here.
