history

NEWS… the computer show went on air in February 1992. From June 2000 onwards, the program was broadcast live on 3sat under the title NEWS… on Mondays at 9:30 p.m., moderated by Anja Bergerhoff . From April 2002 the format was divided into the new ones that were broadcast alternately . phone calls and more, moderated by Bergerhoff, and new things. computer and more , moderated by Daniel Rasch. In addition, the show reported something new. special irregular on current topics such as CeBIT . With the move to the broadcasting slot on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. in February 2004, the division of the format was given up again and Bergerhoff took over the moderation again. From April 2005 to the summer break of 2006, the new Saturday was broadcast at 5:00 p.m., because the audience ratings for the 3sat format, which was the most successful up to now between the ages of 14 and 49, were initially drastic due to the postponement of the broadcast dates on Saturday to 6:30 p.m. during the sports show had decreased. After Anja Bergerhoff left the show for the summer break in July 2005, Yve Fehring has been the moderator since August 13, 2005 . Lukas Koch moderated the program from August to December 2009 because Fehring was on maternity leave.

All programs broadcast from 2001 onwards could be called up on the 3sat website, more recently also in the ZDF media library, report-wise or completely as a video stream. However, all content is currently de-published.

Since August 2006, the program has been broadcast on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. Repetitions of the individual episodes were shown promptly by ZDF and ZDFinfokanal . From 2010, the show received a complete redesign (revised jingles and clips), as well as a new studio (cost: around 200,000 euros) with numerous multimedia playback areas. Due to an increased number of 3sat theme days (broadcast dates mostly on Sundays) in the second half of 2010, the format only rarely appeared within the 3sat program. In March 2011, the management of the ZDF European Satellite Programs Directorate decided that something new should be discontinued from July 2011. On July 10, 2011 the last episode aired.
