The New Puchhof Palace is located in the district of the same name in the Lower Bavarian community of Aholfing in the Straubing-Bogen district (Puchhof 68). This new castle is a stately villa in neo-baroque style.

The new Puchhof Palace was built in 1872–78 by Carl von Lang-Puchhof, who was ennobled in 1889, on the grounds of the former Hardeck farm by the Straubing master builder Dendl. The goods from Hardeck already belonged among the monks of Prüfening to their property of Castle Puchhof . This was sold to Carl Lang in 1870 through several intermediate stations with all its affiliations.

The new castle was partly demolished in 1966 by its future owners Guido von Maffei and his wife Liselotte for tax reasons and reduced in size accordingly.
