Neundorf (Anhalt) is a district of the city of Staßfurt in the Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Neundorf lies on the northern edge of the Anhalt foothills of the Harz Mountains and borders the Leopoldshall area in Staßfurt to the south . The soils of the district are among the most productive in all of Germany and have land values of 90 and more. Many buildings were built in the Wilhelminian era . The residential estate "Am Gänseanger" has existed since the early 1990s.
history
As early as 3000 to 2000 BC Cord ceramists settled the heights between Neundorf and Hecklingen . In connection with the death of Margrave Gero , the place was first mentioned in 965 under the name Niendorp. In 1867, the then large parish and parish village was called Neindorf . The Leopoldshall , founded in 1873, also belonged politically and ecclesiastically to Neundorf , which later enjoyed a huge boom in the course of potash mining and as a result became an independent town before it was added to the town of Staßfurt in 1946. In 1994, when the dams in the Harz Mountains overflowed, many other places in Neundorf were flooded, which particularly affected the newly built residential area "Am Gänseanger". The incorporation to Staßfurt took place on January 1st, 2009.
Historical buildings
The Evangelical Church of St. Peter and Paul was built in 1901 in the style of historicism and contains richly colored painting of the vaults and walls. In 2008 the painting was secured and renovated.
