action

Daniel is 19 years old and has just graduated from high school. He has been in love with Luca for about four years, but has not yet told her. The film begins when Daniel returns from his high school leave. Now he has to find a community service position. First he starts work in the parish, where he is no longer employed after he is tied to a cross in the church. He finds a new job in the nursing service, where complications also arise: on the one hand, sister Anna falls in love with him, on the other hand, an old man dies after Daniel shared a bottle of schnapps stolen from a gas station with him.

The film gave Daniel Brühl his breakthrough, who received both the Bavarian and German Film Awards for his performance , as well as the New Faces Award for best young actor together with Jessica Schwarz .
