research

Rose deals with interpersonal leadership , personnel development and the design of corporate culture from the perspective of positive psychology or the Positive Organizational Scholarship . He is particularly interested in the perception of meaning in the context of work and how managers can influence the perception of meaning by their employees. He calls on organizations to regularly evaluate the quality of their managers , especially from the perspective of the people they lead.

Awards

In 2012 he received an award for Employer Branding Innovation of the Year for his work at Bertelsmann together with representatives from Allianz , Henkel and McKinsey . With a trainee program he initiated for humanities scholars , Bertelsmann won second place in the German Human Resources Award in the Recruiting category in 2018. The staff magazine named him in 2018 to the top 25 influencers for Human Resources in Germany. In 2018 and 2019 he was recognized by the Xing online network as one of the broadest- reaching publishers on the platform.

Political commitment

Rose is a member of the FDP and from 2014 was a member of the "Liberal Agenda 2025" network, which a few years later was merged with the Federal Party's economic forum. Despite his party affiliation, he publicly sympathizes with political projects that do not belong to the classically liberal spectrum, e.g. B. temporary quotas for women in management positions, an unconditional basic income , or a higher minimum wage (see "Doing work better", p. 29).

For a guest article on the online portal of the Handelsblatt in 2018, he described how such a musical preference can influence the work of a manager .
