Nicola Fontanive (born October 25, 1985 in Agordo ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SG Cortina in Serie A since 2015 .

Career

Nicola Fontanive began his career as an ice hockey player at HC Alleghe , for whose professional team he was active from 2002 to 2010 in Serie A1 , the top Italian division. The center spent the 2010/11 season with Frisk Asker from the Norwegian GET league . For the Norwegians, he scored 25 points scorer in a total of 36 games, nine of which were goals. For the 2011/12 season he returned to Italy for HC Alleghe. In 2013 he moved to Hockey Milano Rossoblu in the Lombard metropolis, which he left after two years to join SG Cortina .

International

For Italy , Fontanive took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships in Division I in 2002 and 2003 and the U20 World Junior Championships in Division I in 2003 , 2004 and 2005 . In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2005 , 2009 , 2011 and 2013 as well as in the top division in 2006 , 2008 , 2010 , 2012 and 2014 .

He also represented Italy at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and the qualifying tournaments for the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver and Sochi in 2014 .
