Nicole Belloubet

Nicole Belloubet (born June 15, 1955 in Paris ) is a French lawyer. On June 21, 2017 they appointed French President Emmanuel Macron to Justice Minister in Cabinet Philippe II .

Life

Belloubet studied public law and legal history at the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris and graduated with a master's degree . From 1983 to 1990 she was a research assistant and lecturer from 1990 to 1992 (as Maître de conférences ) of Public Law at the University of Paris I . She received her doctorate there in 1990 on the subject of Pouvoirs et relations hiérarchiques (“Management authority and hierarchical relationships”). From 1992 to 1995 she held the chair in public law at the University of Evry-Val d'Essonne .

From 1995 she rose increasingly in the university administration and became the director of the department for research and publications at the "International Institute for Public Administration" ( Institut international d'administration publique ). From 1997 to 2000 she was Head of the Limoges Education District and Chancellor of Limoges University . She then moved to Toulouse , where she was also head of the teaching administration district and Chancellor of the University of Toulouse until 2005 .

In addition, Belloubet was a member of the selection committee from 2001 to 2002 for the recruitment of senior officials for the school and higher education and regional educational officials in the various school districts of the 2001 and 2002 exam years. 2001 she was appointed by Minister of Education Jack Lang with the preparation of a report on sexual Instructed violence at school.

In 2005 Belloubet became a professor at the University of Evry-Val d'Essonne , and in 2008 she became a professor at the Institute for Political Studies ( Sciences Po de province ) in Toulouse. In addition, she was active in several university committees. In 2012, for example, she became chairwoman of the “Board of Directors of the Center for Research on Professional Qualifications” ( Center d'études et de recherches sur les qualifications - CEREQ ) in Marseille .

In March 2013, she was appointed a member of the Constitutional Council by the President of the Senate, Jean-Pierre Bel . With her appointment as Minister of Justice, she left.

On June 21, 2017, President Emmanuel Macron appointed her Minister of Justice in Édouard Philippe's cabinet . She succeeded Justice Minister François Bayrou , who had resigned on suspicion of bogus employment and for personal reasons.
