The Niue national football team is the selection team for the Pacific island nation of Niue .

Niue is an associate member of the oceanic regional association OFC , but does not belong to the world football association FIFA . As a result, Niue cannot qualify for World Cup football or the OFC Nations Cup . The Niue Football Association was founded in 1960 and is based in Alofi .

While Niue takes part in international competitions such as the Commonwealth Games in rugby , boxing and athletics , the national soccer team has not been internationally active for years. So far Niue has only played two internationals, both in the 1983 South Pacific Games . The games against Papua New Guinea (0:19) and Tahiti (0:14) were both heavily lost.
