history

Half-timbered house in Noßwitz

Noßwitz was mentioned in 1350 as "Nuczewicz" or "Nuzwicz", the district of Hellerdorf in 1558 as "bey N. in der Helle". Regarding the manorial lordship , Noßwitz belonged in 1548 partly to the parish of Rochlitz, the parish of Königsfeld , the council of Rochlitz and, as an official village, to the office of Rochlitz . After 1764 to 1865, the place belonged completely as an official village to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Rochlitz. Ecclesiastically, the place has always been parish to Rochlitz. The offices were dissolved during the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Saxony in the 19th century . As a result, Noßwitz came under the administration of the Rochlitz court office in 1856 and in 1875 under the newly established Rochlitz administration .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, the community of Noßwitz with Hellerdorf was incorporated into the Rochlitz district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Rochlitz from 1990 and in 1994 in the newly formed district Mittweida and rose in 2008 in the district of central Saxony. On January 1, 1994 Noßwitz was incorporated into Rochlitz.
