NO is a song by the American singer Meghan Trainor that was released on March 4, 2016. It is the first single from their second studio album Thank You , which was released worldwide on May 13, 2016. The song was written by Meghan Trainor, Eric Frederic and Jacob Kasher Hindlin.

The song was produced by Ricky Reed, who produced many of Thank You's tracks . Trainor himself describes the song as not a normal "Meghan Trainor song", but as something new. The song goes in the direction of R&B.

Music video

In an interview with Time magazine , Trainor said the filming for the music video took place on March 4, 2016. The video was then published on Vevo on March 21, 2016 . On May 4, 2016, it already had 170 million views.

It's a lot darker than the previous videos of her. Billboard's Joe Lynch thinks she hit the old 2000s Britney and 90s Madonna styles well with the video. He also described Trainor's look as "being much more sexy than you were used to with her".

Trainor sang No live for the first time at the 3rd iHeartRadio Music Awards on April 3rd, 2016. She also sang the song on The Graham Norton Show on April 8th, at The Voice UK Finale on April 9th, at The Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 20th. as well as at the Billboard Music Awards .
