Noëlle van Lottum (born July 12, 1972 in Hoogland , Netherlands ) is a former tennis player who played for France . Her brother John van Lottum was also a professional tennis player.

Career

Van Lottum was a professional tennis player from 1988 to 1999. She won a single and a double title on the WTA Tour , plus two single and five double titles at ITF tournaments.

At the French Open in 1995 she played the longest match in the history of this Grand Slam tournament ; in four hours and seven minutes she lost 7: 6 3 , 5: 7 and 2: 6 to Virginie Buisson . Van Lottum also holds the record for the longest game ever played in a women’s tournament; in the match against Sandra Begijn during the Dutch indoor championships in 1984 in Ede , a game lasted 52 minutes.
