Technical data and equipment
It is powered by four Zwanzigzylinder- diesel engines the manufacturer Ruston (type: 16RK270) each with 7,080 kW power . Propulsion is carried out by four water jet drives . The ship reaches a speed of 40 knots . For electricity generation are four Caterpillar - diesel generators (type 3406B), each with 240 kW power ( apparent power : 300 kVA ) are available.
Drive motors and generators are housed in the two hulls of the catamaran. There are two waterjet propulsion systems in the port and starboard hulls.
The ship has two decks and the wheelhouse on the upper deck. The lower deck is the vehicle deck. Nine additional, height-adjustable car decks are suspended in the vehicle deck, so that the vehicle deck can be adapted to the respective need for vehicle parking spaces. On the car deck, there are 380 lane meters for trucks 3.1 m wide and 4.3 m high and 360 lane meters for cars 2.3 m wide and 2.1 m high. The use of the height-adjustable car decks enables variable divisions of the car deck, so that when they are fully used there is space for 260 cars. Alternatively, 12 trucks and 180 cars or 24 trucks and 85 cars can be transported. The vehicle deck is loaded and unloaded via a ramp at the stern of the ship.
The passenger deck is located above the vehicle deck. It is accessible from the vehicle deck via stairs in the stern area and a ramp in the bow area. On both sides of the passenger deck there are rows of seats for the passengers. In between there are areas u. a. with table seats, bars and a boutique. On both sides of the passenger deck there are entrances for passengers traveling without a vehicle. There is a small outside deck at the stern.
The ship is equipped with the T-fin system, which is supposed to improve the swell characteristics of the ship in heavy seas and enable the passengers to cross the river more smoothly. The T-fins are retractable so that they are only used when needed.
