The Nova Scotia Highway 101 is a highway in the west of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia . It has a length of 310 km and is part of the National Highway System . The highway is named Harvest Highway in honor of local agriculture.

The highway begins in the northwest of the provincial capital Halifax and leads from there into the Annapolis Valley . The Annapolis Valley is used intensively for agriculture, hence the name of the highway. The section to Three Mile Plains has been expanded to four lanes, and the entire route has been created without intersections. From there, the route runs parallel to the northwest coast of the Nova Scotia peninsula . Trunk Highway 1 follows parallel to Highway 101, and individual sections of this route also take Highway 101. This opens up the individual places along Highway 101, Highway 101 often serves as a bypass.
