history
Oberlindelbach was first mentioned in a document in 1062. Until the beginning of the 19th century, Oberlindelbach was under the sovereignty of the imperial city of Nuremberg . The rulership of the village and the community was exercised by the Nuremberg owners , the family, the Löffelholz von Kolberg family . Oberlindelbach became Bavarian in 1806 after the imperial city of Nuremberg was annexed by the Kingdom of Bavaria in violation of the imperial constitution . The place became part of the New Bavarian territories that were taken over by the Napoleonic land consolidation , which was only subsequently legalized in July 1806 with the Rhine Confederation Act.
As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Oberlindelbach became part of the rural community of Stöckach with the Second Community Edict in 1818 , to which the village of Unterlindelbach also belonged. With the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Oberlindelbach was incorporated into Igensdorf together with the municipality of Stöckach at the beginning of 1972. In 1987 Oberlindelbach had 99 inhabitants.
