Oberlistingen is a district of the municipality of Breuna in the northern Hessian district of Kassel .

geography

Oberlistingen is located six kilometers northeast of the main town of Breuna in the Habichtswald Nature Park in the north Hessian mountainous region. On the north-eastern edge of the town, federal road 7 and state road 3080 meet.

history

The village is first mentioned in a Calenberg feudal lapel from 1341. In the place there was a villication of the Hilwartshausen monastery with land ownership. In 1535, after the death of the last male offspring of the Lords of Gudenberg , Eberhard von Gudenberg, Oberlistingen passed to his son-in-law Hermann von der Malsburg . The mirrors to Desenberg had church patronage . Only the fortified tower of the medieval Protestant church remains .

On August 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Oberlistingen was incorporated into the municipality of Breuna by state law as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
