Offset (rapper)
Kiari Kendrell Cephus (born December 14, 1991 in Lawrenceville , Georgia ), better known by his stage name Offset, is an American rapper and songwriter . He is a member of the hip hop group Migos .
Career
Offset grew up with Quavo and Takeoff in the suburb of Gwinnett County , Georgia. All three are related to each other. Offset is Quavo's cousin and Quavo is Takeoff's uncle . In 2013 they released the single Versace , which caused the group to gain attention for the first time. Two years later the debut album Yung Rich Nation followed , which landed at number 17th in the US charts. In the meantime, Offset has released three albums together with his group, all of which have won multiple gold and platinum awards. In addition to various projects with the group, Cephus is increasingly appearing as a solo artist.
In 2017 he released the collaboration album Without Warning together with rapper 21 Savage and producer Metro Boomin , which landed at number 4 and was also the first major project without Quavo and Takeoff. The single Ric Flair Drip from the album became Cephus' first platinum award as a single artist.
In 2018 the first feature appeared with an artist from the pop genre, namely Hurts Like Hell with singer Madison Beer .
His debut album Father of 4 was released on February 22, 2019.
Private life
In 2017, Offset and Cardi B started a relationship. On April 7, 2018, she announced that the two were expecting a child who was born on July 10, 2018. The two separated in December 2018, but got back together in early 2019.
Three more children have already emerged from previous Offset partnerships.
