Oliver Hohlfeld

Oliver Hohlfeld (born January 21, 1965 in Cottbus ) is a German author , dramaturge and theater photographer .

Life

Hohlfeld graduated from high school in 1983 in Halle and after completing an internship as a director for television in the GDR , he graduated as a photographer . Since he was not allowed to study directing , he only studied modern German literature and theater studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin after the fall of the Wall . In 1986 Hohlfeld became a shipping agent in the port of Halle / Trotha , from 1989 to 1990 he worked as a photographer and head of visual advertising at Theater Anklam and from 1986 to 1989 as a photographer at the Landestheater Halle . From 1990 to 1994 he then worked as a photographer and head of visual advertising at the Schwedt Theater .

From 1997 to 1998 he was the author and dramaturge in the production “Die Richtstatt” at the Dresden State Theater (director: Volker Metzler ; premiere). From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a dramaturge, assistant director and theater photographer at the State Theater Mecklenburg / Neustrelitz. From 2007 to 2009 he was dramaturge at the Theater und Orchester GmbH Neubrandenburg / Neustrelitz. In 2007 he took part in the dramatization of Astrid Lindgren's Ronja Robber's Daughter on behalf of Theater und Orchester GmbH Neubrandenburg / Neustrelitz and was the curator and designer of the exhibition: "Artwork and Document - Theater Photography in Berlin and the Surrounding Area" in Seville . In 2009 he performed a dramatization based on elements of the jungle book by Rudyard Kipling in the theater tent in the Schlossgarten Neustrelitz with the drama school Berlin .

In 2010, Hohlfeld's film Forest Trilogy premiered in the cinema of the Basiskulturfabrik Neustrelitz (Harlekina / Im Wald / Eine Lichtung; In den Wald, Eine Documentation; Harlekin's Birth). 2012 was the premiere of his film project Three Girls, Three Suitcases at the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt , Prenzlau.

Since 2013, Hohlfeld has been working continuously as an author and dramaturge for the German Dance Company in Neustrelitz. After the premiere of the danced fairytale Once Upon a Time (idea and choreography: Kirsten Hocke), the dance epic with Middle High German texts Die Nibelungen (2015) and in 2016 the dance festival 53 ° N - Völker were created in cooperation with the choreographer and director Lars Scheibner and set designer Robert Pflanz wander .
