Olivier Keller (born March 20, 1971 in Geneva ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player and current official.

Career

Olivier Keller began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Genève-Servette HC , for whose professional team he made his debut in the National League B in the 1990/91 season . Then the defender moved for two years to its domestic rivals Lausanne Hockey Club before it for the season 1993/94 of Friborg-Gottéron from the National League A has been committed. During this season he was runner-up with his team after the playoff final was lost to EHC Kloten . After a total of six years, the left shooter left the club in 1999 and signed with HC Lugano , with whom he became Swiss champions for the first and only time in his career in the 2002/03 season .

The 2005/06 season spent in the basement EHC Basel before he got to 2009 in 2006 again for his club in Geneva on the ice. With Servette he failed in the 2007/08 season only in the playoff final at the ZSC Lions . In the summer of 2009, the two-time Olympian moved to his ex-club Lausanne Hockey Club in the NLB. He played for the club for two years before becoming Director of Player Development at third division Forward Morges HC in the 2011/12 season .

International

For Switzerland , Keller took part in the 1991 Junior World Championship and the 1997 B World Championship . He was also part of the Swiss squad at the A-World Championships in 1998 , 1999 , 2000 , 2001 , 2003 , 2004 and 2005 , as well as at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin . He also ran in qualifying for the 2006 Winter Games.
