- ↑ The results of the best three drivers of a nation in the individual road race were included in this team ranking. Unaware of this, the Belgian team got on their bus immediately after the race and drove home. The two survivors of the trio, Van Roosbroeck and Wouters, only received their gold medals in 2010. sports-reference.com
