Arnaldo Benfenati
Arnaldo Benfenati (born May 26, 1924 in San Lazzaro di Savena , † June 9, 1986 in Castel San Pietro Terme ) was an Italian cyclist and world champion.
In 1947 Arnaldo Benfenati became world champion in the single pursuit of amateurs in Paris . The following year he won the silver medal in the team pursuit at the Olympic Games in London , together with Guido Bernardi , Anselmo Citterio and Rino Pucci . In 1947 and 1948 he was also the Italian master of the amateurs in pursuit. In 1949 he won the Gran Premio della Liberazione road race as a professional . In 1952 he resigned from active cycling.
