A total of four basketball competitions are to be held at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo . A classic team tournament should take place again for both genders. The venue is the Saitama Super Arena in the city of the same name, Saitama . In addition, a competition for men and women in the 3 × 3 variant is to be held for the first time at the Olympic Games . The games are scheduled to take place at Aomi Urban Sports Park in Tokyo.
