Open de France Nantes 2019

The Open de France Nantes 2019 took place in Nantes , France , from September 9-14, 2019 . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2019/20 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Silver category . At the same time, a women's squash tournament of the 2019/20 PSA World Tour took place. It also belonged to the PSA World Tour Silver category .

Last year's winners were Declan James for men and Nele Gilis for women. Both did not get past their opening game. In the men's category, Paul Coll won the final with 12:10, 11: 3 and 11: 9 against Joel Makin . The women's competition was won by Camille Serme , she defeated Amanda Sobhy in the final with 9:11, 11: 6, 11: 8 and 11: 9.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 24 players each. The eight best players were seeded and received a bye in the first round. Per Wildcard received Benjamin Aubert and ENORA Villard each a spot in the main draw. In contrast to the usual counting method on the World Tour, the tournament used the best-of-three format in the first three rounds including the quarter-finals, while the semi-finals and the final were played in the best-of-five format.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 73,500 each.
