Orocue (formerly San Miguel del Macuco) is a municipality ( municipio ) in the department of Casanare in Colombia .

geography

Orocué is located on the Río Meta , in the south of Casanare on the border with Meta . The Colombian Colombia Bogota is 546 kilometers west of the town. The municipality is bordered by Yopal and San Luis de Palenque in the north, Santa Rosalía in Vichada in the east, Puerto Gaitán in Meta in the south and Maní in the west .
