Osarenren Okungbowa (born May 13, 1994 in Vienna ) is an Austrian soccer player who has been playing for VfB Lübeck since July 2020 .
Career
Okungbowa started his career at SV Hirschstetten . In 2009 he moved to SV Essling . After only six months he left Essling again and joined the SR Donaufeld Wien . In June 2010 he made his debut for Donaufeld in the Vienna City League when he was in the starting line-up against the IC favorites on matchday 29 of the 2009/10 season .
For the 2010/11 season, Okungbowa moved to the SK Rapid Vienna academy . In May 2012 he played for the regional league team from Rapid when he was substituted on for Louis Schaub on the 28th matchday of the 2011/12 season against SC Columbia Floridsdorf in the 84th minute . In November 2012 Okungbowa was for the first time in the professional squad of Rapid.
From March 2014 to January 2016, Okungbowa did not play a single game due to an injury. He finally made his comeback in February 2016 in a test match against the amateurs of SV Mattersburg .
In November 2016, Okungbowa finally made his professional debut when he started against SK Sturm Graz on matchday 16 of the 2016/17 season .
For the 2018/19 season he moved to SKN St. Pölten , where he received a contract that ran until June 2019. After not playing in a league for the Lower Austrians, he moved to the second division Floridsdorfer AC in January 2019 .
For the 2020/21 season, Okungbowa moved to Germany in the 3rd division for VfB Lübeck . He signed a one-year contract with the newcomer and meets his compatriot and head coach Rolf Martin Landerl . Okungbowa left the FAC in July before the end of the season, which had been postponed to the end of July due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
