The Oste cycle path is a 145 km long cycle path along the Oste in Lower Saxony .

Route

The Oste cycle path is a 145 km long cycle path . It begins at the train station in Tostedt and ends at the Natureum Balje near Neuhaus (Oste) at the confluence of the Oste into the Elbe . It leads through the Tister Bauernmoor , Sittensen , past Zeven and the Sandbostel camp and from Bremervörde follows the cycle path variant of the signs for the German Fährstraße . It follows the course of the Oste through flat to undulating landscape with a few inclines and from Bremervörde through the flat Ostemarsch. The bike path runs predominantly along roads and forest roads on paved ( farm roads ). The northern part of the Oste cycle path is identical to the southern section of the German ferry route Bremervörde - Kiel.

Transport links

The Oste cycle path can be reached by train in Tostedt , Bremervörde and Cadenberge . The beginning and end of the cycle path can be reached by motor vehicle via federal highways; Tostedt is on the B 75 , Bremervörde on the B 71 , B 74 and Cadenberge on the B 73 . In Sittensen lying junction Sittensen the Bundesautobahn 1 . The cycle path crosses the B 71 at Zeven and in Bremervörde, as well as the B 74 in Bremervörde. The 3860 bus runs from Tostedt to Zeven, the 820 bus from Zeven to Bremervörde.
