Otto Friedrich von Schönburg-Waldenburg

Otto Friedrich von Schönburg-Waldenburg (born October 22, 1819 in Waldenburg (Saxony) ; † December 13, 1893 ibid) was a member of the Saxon state parliament and since 1859 3rd Prince of Schönburg .

Life

He was the son of Prince Otto Victor I. von Schönburg (born March 1, 1785 in Waldenburg ; † February 16, 1859 in Leipzig ) and Princess Thekla von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt (born February 23, 1795 in Rudolstadt ; † January 4, 1861 in Gauernitz ), daughter of Prince Ludwig Friedrich II of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .

Otto Friedrich attended the education department of the Francke Foundations in Halle and then studied law at the University of Tübingen , the University of Göttingen and the University of Leipzig . In March 1848 he traveled to England , France and Belgium . After the death of his father in 1859 Otto Friedrich took over the dominions of Waldenburg and Lichtenstein as sole owner and Hartenstein and Stein as co-owners.

In 1863 Otto Friedrich joined the first chamber of the Saxon state parliament , in which he alternately represented the feudal lords (1863–1864 and 1869–1874) and the recess lords (1866) as the Schönburg plenipotentiary. Otto Friedrich's political work extended from v. a. on the negotiations for the introduction of the Saxon court organization in the Schönburg recession.

From his marriage to Pamela, b. Freiin Łabuńska (born August 31, 1837 - July 18, 1901) had seven children:
