The PSD Bank eG Braunschweig is a cooperative direct bank for private customers and is part of the PSD banking group at. As one of the fourteen independent PSD banks, it is a member of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks (BVR). PSD Bank Braunschweig eG only looks after members and customers who live in their business area, which includes the region of south-east Lower Saxony and the state of Saxony-Anhalt .

history

As part of the nationwide expansion, a post, savings and advance payment association was founded in Braunschweig on January 4, 1872 . Members were the employees and officials of the Post and their family members. In 1903 the Braunschweig Association was renamed the Post, Savings and Loan Association (PSpDV) Braunschweig. In 1992, the Braunschweig Post Savings and Loan Association expanded its services to all private customers and changed the name to PSD Bank Braunschweig. In September 1999 the legal form changed to a registered cooperative (eG). A branch opened in 2006 in Göttingen was closed again at the end of 2015.

PSD Bank Braunschweig eG has three branches in Braunschweig (head office), Magdeburg and Halle (Saale) . In addition, mobile consultants are on the move in the business area. The bank also operates a service for telephone advice as well as online and telephone banking . The bank provides financial services in the areas of building and living, saving and investing, old-age provision, insurance, financing and checking accounts. In the field of investments, PSD Bank Braunschweig eG works together with the investment company Union Investment . Other partners are Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall , R + V Versicherung , DZ Bank as the central bank and Fiducia & GAD IT AG as the central IT service provider.

PSD Bank Braunschweig eG has been organizing the “Ideas make schools” competition since 2007. Here creative school projects are funded with 50,000 euros annually. PSD Bank Braunschweig eG also supports sporting and cultural events as well as projects that promote civic engagement.
