history

PSD Bank Nürnberg eG was founded in 1936 after the postal administration in Bavaria had been transferred to the Reich two years earlier . On January 1, 1939, the company moved to the Reich Post Office building on Bahnhofsplatz.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the business area expanded towards the new federal states. The Chemnitz branch started work in 1990. After the customer base has been restricted, every private customer who lives in the Franconian, Upper Palatinate and Saxony business area can use PSD Bank Nuremberg.

With the withdrawal of PSD Bank Niederbayern-Oberpfalz from the PSD banking group at the end of 2015, business activities were expanded to include the Upper Palatinate administrative district, where a consulting office was opened in Regensburg in mid-2017.
