Papa Moll and the kidnapping of the flying dog (original title: Papa Moll ) is a Swiss movie by Manuel Flurin Hendry from 2017 . The main character of the story is based on the character from the Swiss comic strip Papa Moll by Edith Oppenheim-Jonas .

The cinema release in French -speaking Switzerland was on December 20, 2017, in the canton of Ticino and German-speaking Switzerland on December 21, 2017. In Germany, the cinema release was on April 12, 2018. The TV premiere on Swiss television was on January 2, 2020 A documentation about the making-of was then shown.

Papa Moll lives with his family in «Murmlikon» and experiences a big mess on one weekend alone with the children.
