Pierre Siegenthaler

Pierre Siegenthaler , also Peter Siegenthaler (born November 25, 1945 in Le Locle ) is a Swiss actor and radio play speaker .

Life

From 1963 to 1965, Pierre Siegenthaler studied German at the University of Basel , after which he trained as an actor from 1965 to 1968 at what was then the Zurich stage studio . Siegenthaler had various long-term permanent engagements at Swiss and German theaters, for example at the Zurich Theater am Neumarkt and the Theater Basel , at the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt , at the Schauspiel Köln and at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , of which he was a member from 1986 to 2012.

Under well-known directors such as Jürgen Gosch , Hans Neuenfels , Andrea Breth or Dani Levy , Siegenthaler played, among many other roles, the ghost in William Shakespeare's Hamlet , the Duke of Burgundy in The Maiden of Orleans by Friedrich Schiller , the Lenox in Macbeth by Shakespeare or Professor Hinzelmann in the Benatzky operetta Im Weißen Rößl .

Since the late 1990s, Pierre Siegenthaler can also be seen repeatedly on television or in the cinema. He had a small role in Sönke Wortmann's Das Wunder von Bern , played alongside Jürgen von der Lippe in Nich 'with Leo and as a guest in series such as SOKO Leipzig or The Undertaker . Occasionally he also works for the radio.

Pierre Siegenthaler lives in Cologne.
