Park Sung-je (born August 3, 1988 in Seoul ) is a South Korean ice hockey goalkeeper who has been playing at High1 in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2014 .
Career
Park Sung-je, who was born in the capital, Seoul , began his career in the Kyung-gi High School team . From 2007 to 2010 he played for the team at Yonsei University . He made his squad debut for the South Korean club Anyang Halla in the Asia League Ice Hockey in the 2010/11 season and won the Asia League straight away in his first professional season with Anyang. After three years with the leading South Korean professional team, he was drawn to Daemyung Sangmu , the newly formed third South Korean team in the Asia League Ice Hockey. Since 2014 he has also played for High1 in the Asia League.
International
At the international level, Park Sung-je represented his home country in the junior as well as the senior sector. So he played at the U18 Junior World Championship Division I in 2006 . He also guarded the goal of the South Koreans at the U20 Junior World Championship in Division II in 2008 , when he achieved the third-best catch quota of the tournament behind the Japanese Teruyuki Tsuchiya and the Italian Martin Ausserhofer .
With the men's selection , he contested the World Championships in Division I in 2010 , 2011 , but when he was not used, 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , when he achieved the lowest conceded goals per game together with the British Ben Bowns , 2016 , when it was not used again, and 2017 . In 2012 and 2015, the goalkeeper in Division I was able to celebrate promotion from group B to group A; In 2017 he was promoted to the top division for the first time. At the 2018 World Cup , he played in the top division. Park also guarded South Korea's goal at the 2011 Winter Asian Games , when the team won bronze behind Kazakhstan and Japan . At the Winter Asian Games 2017 , he finished second with the South Koreans behind Kazakhstan, again without a commitment. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in his own country.
