Paul Bourdin
Paul Bourdin (born April 13, 1900 in Bingen am Rhein , † October 24, 1955 in Hamburg ) was a German journalist and State Secretary .
Life
Bourdin's ancestors were Huguenots from France . After graduating from high school in Bingen, he studied philology at the University of Bonn and the University of Cologne . In 1925 he started at the Frankfurter Zeitung, where he worked as a correspondent in Brussels, London and Paris. After the newspaper was liquidated by the National Socialists, he worked for the Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung in Berlin and Paris. He also worked as a translator .
In 1945 he co-founded the Berlin-Wilmersdorf Adult Education Center and was involved in founding the Kurier in the French occupation zone. In 1949, as a permanent state secretary, he became head of the press and information office of the federal government in Bonn. In 1950 he took over the editor-in-chief of the world in Hamburg. He was also a commentator for the time .
