Paul Gehrmann (born April 28, 1995 in Zwickau ) is a German soccer player . He is currently under contract with Energie Cottbus .

Career

Paul Gehrmann started playing football in 2000 at VfL Reinsdorf, today's SpVgg Reinsdorf-Vielau in Reinsdorf near Zwickau in Saxony . In 2004 he switched to the E-Jugend of FV Eintracht Niesky , where he played for the next four years, and in 2008 to the youth of Dynamo Dresden . In the 2012/13 season Gehrmann played for one season at SC Borea Dresden , after which he returned to Dynamo. There he was used in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga and scored two goals in 23 appearances.

In 2014 Paul Gehrmann moved to the men's team of Goslarer SC 08 in the Regionalliga Nord , where he played his first league game on August 1, 2014 in the 1-1 draw against SV Meppen after being substituted on two minutes before the end of the game. On March 1, 2015, he scored his first and so far only goal in a 1-1 draw against VfB Oldenburg , after which Gehrmann was out for five games due to a groin strain and was also not in the squad in the two games after the injury had healed. At the end of the season, Goslar landed in 15th place. In the 2015/16 season, Gehrmann played 30 games, but had to sit out between the fourth and sixth game day due to a metatarsal bruise.

In 2016 Paul Gehrmann moved to third division relegated FC Energie Cottbus on a free transfer . On July 31, 2016, he made his first appearance for Cottbus in a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig . In total, Gehrmann came to 27 games, in 14 of which he was in the starting line-up. On May 25, 2017, Cottbus won the Brandenburg Cup by beating FSV 63 Luckenwalde 2-0 in the final , Gehrmann was substituted on 13 minutes before the end of the game. In the 2017/18 season , Gehrmann came back to 27 missions. On May 21, 2018 Cottbus won the Brandenburg Cup again against Babelsberg. In the regional league Cottbus reached first place, with a 3-2 win in the first leg and a 0-0 in the second leg against Weiche Flensburg , Cottbus rose to the 3rd soccer league .

On August 12, 2018, Paul Gehrmann made his professional debut in the 3-1 defeat against Würzburger Kickers when he came on for Kevin Scheidhauer in the 79th minute .
