Pawel Wiktorowitsch Andrejew ( Russian Павел Викторович Андреев ; born December 2, 1983 in Prokopyevsk ) is a Russian triathlete . He is seven-time world champion winter triathlon (2011-2019) and Russian champion in cross triathlon (2016, 2019) and cross duathlon (2019).

Career

In February 2007, Pawel Andrejew started at the European Winter Triathlon Championship in Liechtenstein for the first time at the age of 24 and finished eleventh in Triesenberg.

In the warmer months, he trained his stamina in duathlon and triathlon and also started races here: In May 2010, he competed in the European Duathlon Championships (10 km running, 40 km cycling and 5 km running) in France and finished the 25th rank. The next year he improved to 18th place.

European and world champion winter triathlon 2011

In March 2011, Pawel Andrejew became the European winter triathlon champion and only a week later world champion.

At the Cross Triathlon World Championships in 2014, he finished tenth in the extreme southeast of Saxony . From 2014 to 2016 he was the Russian winter triathlon champion three times in a row in his home country.

Russian champion cross triathlon 2016

In June 2016 he also became national champion in cross triathlon.

In January 2017, the 33-year-old became European champion in Estonia in the winter triathlon for the fifth time. In July he became vice-European cross-duathlon champion. In January 2018 he became world champion in the winter triathlon for the sixth time in a row (no world championships were held in 2015 and 2017) and in February he also won the title of European champion for the sixth time.

Russian champion cross duathlon 2019

In February 2019 he became world champion winter triathlon for the seventh time and in June also Russian champion cross duathlon.
